This week we have one of our key artists, Greg Kobe under his better known alias ROBOT NEEDS OIL presenting Analog Girl In A Digital World. To go with the original mix, we have killer in-house remixes from Matt Herdman & Sound Diffusion. Just back from a European tour, Brooklyn’s Christopher Manik serves up his freshest sound, and really making this one special is Swen Weber & Nogales dipping their toes into the Definitive pool as remixers.

We brought together a global gathering of international remixers to bring you their version of their favorite Robot Needs Oil track. Spain’s Raul Blanco of Malassa did a wonderful minimal tech house track that has been rocking it in Acquaviva’s sets over the past few months. From Washington DC, USA, Kaveh and George of Brandnewvibe did a treatment with their deeper tech house vibe and sound. Canada’s (and Definitive’s) very own Matt Herdman remixed a forthcoming unreleased track – White Heat – and we loved it so much that it simply had to come out sooner than later. And finally Poland’s Greg Kobe – the man behind Robot Needs Oil – revisited and delivered a fat new version of The New Science ($cience) for 2009.

Releases (2008)

new science
Robot Needs Oil our man (with the master plan) Greg Kobe. This third release has two tracks that show he has set an electro standard for the past couple of years, and that he continues to lead the way for our scene to keep growing and evolving. Both tracks have been tearing it up for me at the hugest parties around the world. High Voltage has shades of last year’s hit Volta… and it is a techno BOMB. Sonically dramatic and powerful, The New $cience says it all for the sound and vision of our brave new world.
