Definitive’s French Ambassadors are back with some truly sick techno, and the track names say it all. Following up the big tracks Rex The Club and Unleash the Dog from their last release, we have the very timely but incredibly contagious TECH1N1O & V1ru5. Perhaps too dangerous for crowds, we decided to release it anyway and simply advise everyone to handle with the utmost care.
Our Global Citizen Olivier Giacomotto is back big time with a release that is truly close to home. The man from Bordeaux gives us a taste of the best things French, which for us all at Definitive is Music and Wine with the aptly titled tracks, Burgunday & Bordeaux. The vintage is pure Giacomotto, starting with fat beats and bass from the first taste and listen, getting all velvety and bubbly with some excellent beeps, leaving a fine finish on your groove buds.
Our French ambassadors Olivier and Tonio bring to us a new Talent from their turf, Erick Dere. Already appearing on the Definitive Remix All Star EP with his fantastic remix of Locomotto, we are finally treated to a main course from Erick with his track Rainwood. Olivier & DJ Tonio give us their remix for a big 1, 2 techno punch on this one.
The remixers just keep coming on Definitive; This time we have the one and only Canadian heavyweight Hatiras reworking Olivier’s ‘96 Degrees’. Then in the other corner we have the German bomber STFU with his remixed house grenade. The summer is still hot and this is the track to play!
From the first time Olivier dropped this track at the WMC Beatport Miami pool party, people have been asking "What is this song and when can I get it?" Well, as of this July 15th, one of this Summer’s surefire house anthems hits the release pages and airwaves for all. Summer is about fun and Oli goes house on the original mix, ’cause when it is 96 degrees in the shade…you gotta be chill… and for those of you who know Oli… he sure is. On the more underground side, the SUPERSKANK mix is the one to play, appearing in a lot of Acquaviva’s podcasts and dj sets throughout the spring and early summer. This video game has always been one the world’s premier driving games and we are thrilled to provide part of the soundtrack for this. It’s available at retail now. The game’s total soundtrack is 97 songs, so Definitive is happy to have contributed such a large portion for a single independent label.
Definitive’s techno DJ, The Attorney General, no stranger to high velocity himself, confirms this game fulfills the need for speed and its less expensive than speeding tickets.
